Milbank High School Volleyball Prepares to Begin Upcoming Season

The Milbank High School Lady Bulldogs volleyball season will soon be underway. The following schedule has been set for athletes in grades nine through 12 by head coach Nancy Hoeke.

Wednesday, August 12 – 6:30 a.m. – Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast at American Lutheran Church. Please let Coach Hoeke know if you plan to attend. The event is free to athletes and costs $10 for adults.

Thursday, August 13 – 9 a.m. – Impact Testing for girls in grades 9 and 11.
10 to 11:15 a.m. – Practice for 9^th graders (some freshmen may be invited to stay for the junior varsity practice/tryout.
11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Varsity/JV practice (10-12 grades and invited 9^th graders)

Friday, August 14 – 9 to 11:30 a.m. – Varsity/JV practice
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – C team (9^th grade) practice

Saturday, August 15 – 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. – All practice

Monday, August 17 – 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. – C team practice
1:30 to 3:30 p.m. – Varsity/JV practice (kick-off of cookie dough fundraiser)

Tuesday, August 18 – 9 to 11:30 a.m. – All practice

Wednesday, August 19 – 9 to 11:30 a.m. – All practice
5:30 to 6:45 p.m. – Public scrimmage for 9-12 grades.

Thursday, August 20 – 2 p.m. – All in uniform for Starrography photos.
3:30 to 5:30 p.m. – All practice

Friday, August 21 – 9 to 11:30 a.m. – All practice

Monday, August 24 – First day of school.  Practice after school.
7 p.m. – Mandatory athlete-parent meeting at high school.

Tuesday, August 25 – 6 p.m. – First match of the season. Home with Deuel.

Coach Hoeke notes that players must have 10 practices before the first match in order to play. Players also need to complete and turn in athletic physical and physical updates prior to beginning practice. An athlete will not be allowed to practice until this requirement is completed.
