Kaley Withers, daughter of Jesse and Tara Krause, was presented with a check for $1,000 from the Gene Dockter Memorial Scholarship. Withers was honored for her commitment to the bowling program and specifically her dedication to helping younger bowlers. Kaley participated in numerous state bowling tournaments, maintained solid attendance during leagues, and displayed all-around honorable behavior.
The funds for the scholarship are raised through adult USBC sanctioned leagues. Lyle Hoeke, owner of Top Hat Lanes, presented her the check and said, “Congratulations, Kaley, from all of the adult bowlers in our association.”
The Gene Dockter Memorial Scholarship is intended for education and Withers will begin classes at South Dakota State University next week. She will seek a biology major while on the pre-med track.
