The Milbank High School football team of 2005 will be recognized and honored on its 10-year anniversary of its runner-up championship title Friday, September 25, at the Bulldogs home game with Sioux Valley.

“We invite all players, families and Bulldog fans to celebrate the 10-year reunion of this runner-up championship team,” stated Milbank Area head football coach Jeremy Tostenson.

Players are asked to gather at the north end of the track at 6:15 p.m. and will be introduced on the field at 6:30 p.m. “Players are also welcome to be on the field for pre-game warmups,” noted Tostenson. Kick off is slated for 7 p.m. A social event for teammates and their families at Speedway will follow the game.

The 2005 team complied an 11-1 season record under the helm of Tostenson. The team was crowned Northeast Conference champs, region champs and went 3-1 in the playoffs enroute to its runner-up title.

Assisting Tostenson were coaches Scott Wiese, Bob Huber, Matt Bastian, Joe Frederiksen and Cory Richardt. Team members included Tony Lesnar, Russ Schultz, Andrew Van Lith, Jackson Schwandt, Brandon Trapp, Dale Hermans, Austin Hunt, Tyler Foster, Jacob Montag, John Van Hoorn, Jeff Fish, Brodie Glanzer, Jared Schrupp, Eric Pulling, Zach Lambrechts, Garrett Christopherson, Tyler Ruhr, Stephen DeBoer, Nick Kunde, Mitchell Kuper, Kyle Reedstrom, Cole Wittrock, Brian Trapp, Seth Kramer, Justin Peterson, Cory Lesnar, Tom DeFea, Dana Johnson, Blake Conroy, Dustin Lester, Jesse Morton, Tyrel Bonnet, Matt Trevett, and Jon Ludwig.
