A benefit for Mike Wojahn of Big Stone City is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at Hedge & Herberg Trucking in Big Stone City. A meal will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. A silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. with a live auction starting at 7:10 p.m.
Mike grew up on a farm near Revillo. His family moved to Milbank in the 1960s where he graduated from Milbank High School. Mike has been battling cancer since 1997. The cancer started with a benign brain tumor in 1997 followed by prostate cancer in 2007. This past April he was diagnosed with state 4 throat cancer.
All proceeds from the benefit will go towards Mike’s medical expenses. Supplemental funds are being provided by Thrivent Financial Grant County Chapter #30581. Monetary donations can be sent to Minnwest Bank, PO Box 128 (21 SE 2nd Street) Ortonville, MN, 56278.
