Community Invited To Love And Logic Presentation Friday at MHS

The Milbank School District invites all parents to attend the Love and Logic inservice training Friday, September 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school theater. There is no cost to attend.

An authentic Mexican lunch will be served at noon by the Milbank FFA chapter. Cost for the lunch is $7 and reservations are required. Please call the high school office as soon as possible at 432-5546.

Love and Logic is a worldwide parenting program practiced since 1977. Founders conducted research for a decade and found that children thrive when they have loving, compassionate and genuinely empathetic parents and teachers, experience consistent limits and accountability, are allowed to learn by making plenty of small, affordable mistakes and are taught to own and solve the problems they encounter. It was created to help bring the joy back into parenting and teaching.

The Love and Logic approach will provide adults with strategies and skills to set firm limits in loving ways without anger, lecture, threats or repeated warnings. Effective strategies to help with setting limits, building relationships and avoiding power struggles will be presented.
