Preview: Dawgs Ready to Tackle Tigers Tonight

The Milbank Area Bulldogs will battle for a victory when the Groton Area Tigers come to town Friday night. The Dawgs hope to finish Homecoming week with a big win.

Groton Area is traditionally a tough opponent and currently stands unbeaten. The Tigers defeated Oakes, ND, Mobridge-Pollock, and Redfield-Dolan so far this season and are rated fourth in Class 11B.

The Tigers have good size at nearly every position and quarterback Bennett Shabazz is athletic and dangerous with his feet, according to scouting reports.

“We need to tackle well and get off the field on the third down,” stated Milbank Area head coach Jeremy Tostenson. “The offense also needs to control the line of scrimmage and run the ball effectively.”

The Bulldogs currently are 2-1 after a tough loss to Aberdeen Roncalli last week, so the team is hungry to get another win on Homecoming night.
