The Milbank Area Bulldogs hope to keep the momentum going and use last week’s big football victory over Sioux Valley to push to another ‘W’ Friday night when they travel to Doland to take on the Pheasants.

Redfield-Doland has a 2-3 season record with wins over Crow Creek and Sisseton. The Pheasants have suffered losses to Aberdeen Roncalli, Groton Area and Parkston so far this season. According to scouting reports, running back Cooper Baloun is said to be a hard runner. The Pheasants also utilize quarterback Alan Masat to throw the ball more than any other team the Bulldogs have faced yet this season.

The Dawgs have maintained a solid practice plan this week and hope to use that momentum to secure their fourth win of the season. According to head coach Jeremy Tostenson, Milbank Area needs to run fit and finish its tackles on the defensive side of the ball. “We need to see improvement there,” he noted. “We also need to get some pressure on the QB and play solid in the back end.” On the offensive side, Tostenson says the team needs to be physical and build on what they accomplished last week.
