Donna Wyatt, age 76, of Big Stone City, died Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Lilac Homes Assisted Living in Moorhead.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank with Pastor Melanie Reiners officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 15, at Mundwiler Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service on Friday. Burial will be held at a later date.

Donna Lou Wyatt was born on June 16, 1939, in Spencer, IA, to Gerald and Mildred (Loder) Nelson. She attended school in Spencer, graduating from Spencer High School with the class of 1957. After high school, Donna was united in marriage to Dr. Ronald O. Wyatt on August 31, 1957. To this union, four children were born. Following their marriage, the Wyatt family lived in various places during Ronald’s thirteen year service with the United States Air Force. They eventually moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where they stayed for many years until moving to a lake house in Big Stone City.

Primarily a homemaker, Donna also worked in Milbank as an office manager later in life for her husband, Dr. Ronald O. Wyatt. Donna was a terrific cook who enjoyed baking and canning. She loved spending time outdoors gardening, and took pleasure in bowling, golfing, and sewing. Most important to Donna was her family and she cherished each moment spent as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Left to cherish Donna’s memory is her husband of 58 years, Dr. Ronald O. Wyatt of Big Stone City; children: Tim (Jeannette) Wyatt of Wayzata, MN; Kim (Van) Moser of Sioux Falls, SD; Steve (Shelly) Wyatt of Fargo, ND; and Julie (Steve) Boehning of Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren: Natasha O’Donnell, Nicole Wyatt, Miranda Moser Hills, Tyler Moser, Anthony Wyatt, Michael Wyatt, and Scott Boehning; five great-grandchildren: Payton, Skylar, Aiden, Claire, and Brody Hills; sisters: Janice (Jack) Moore of Minnetonka, MN and Patty (Gary) Tuttle of Okoboji, IA; brothers: Roger (Lynda) Nelson of Worthington, MN and Jerry (Norene) Nelson of Salina, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fred Nelson.
