Tis the season for the annual Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce holiday promotion. This year, experience the town as it transforms into “Merry Milbank”. Milbank Chamber Director, Connie Larson, says shoppers can look forward to a fun-filled shopping season, full of surprises.
Start by stopping by the open houses at your favorite businesses on Sunday, November 22 from noon till 5 p.m.
Soon lights will be popping up all over town. Take a drive and check them out or nominate your decoration-loving neighbor in the residential lighting contest. Nominations start November 25, said Larson, and $50 prizes in Ol’ Mill bucks will be awarded on December 7, 14, and 21. Call the Chamber office at 432- 6656 to make a nomination.
If you are a lucky shopper, you might also win $1000 in Ol’ Mill bucks. Start signing up at participating businesses on Saturday, November 21.
The drawings take place November 28, December 5, December 12, and December 19 at 2 p.m. Winners must be present in a participating business to win. “If the winner is not present, $100 will be given to them and the drawing will continue (less $100 for each name drawn) until a winner is present,” explained Larson. Winners must be 18 years of age or older.
Also, Santa will be in town for photos on Thursday, December 3. First Bank and Trust has scheduled “Pictures with Santa” from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
