Milbank Gymnasts See Improvements at Hub City Invite

The Milbank gymnastics team vaulted into eighth place in its second match of the year during the Hub City Invitational Saturday, December 12, in Aberdeen. Milbank improved its team score with 126.60 points and an eighth place finish among tough competition.

“The girls competed with more confidence and hit more of their skills,” noted head coach Amber Fraasch. “This meet is one of our larger invitationals and the competition is some of the best in the state.”

Milbank finished 10th out of 12 teams the previous two years. The field of teams was comprised mostly of AA schools. “The consistent routines turned in by our team allowed us to finish eighth out of the 15 team field this year,” said Fraasch. “Our solid beam routines led to an impressive fifth place event total.”

Natalie Stohr led the locals with a 10th place finish in the all-around competition. She also tied for ninth place on vault.
