Elda B. Angerhofer, 91, of Milbank died on December 17, 2015, at St. William’s Care Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Emanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Keith Bicknase will officiate and music will be provided by Kristy Tostenson, organist.

Visitation will be held at Mundwiler Funeral Home Monday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. and continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Milbank City Cemetery.

Honorary bearers will be All Friends and Relatives. Casket bearers will be: Heather Lease, Ashley Korbel, James Cizadlo, Tony Zempel, Tim Zempel, Tom Zempel, and Roger Angerhofer.

Elda B. Angerhofer was born on March 16, 1924, to August and Augusta (Grube) Zempel in Grant County. She attended Country School Alban #1 through the eighth grade and later received a GED. On December 21, 1945, Elda was united in marriage to Edwin W. Angerhofer in the Emanuel Lutheran Church parsonage. They were blessed with five children.

Elda was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Milbank.
Elda was a faithful and devoted member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank. She taught the four year old Sunday School class for nine years. Elda loved to read, especially the Reader’s Digest and Guide Post Magazine. Her favorite television show was “Wheel of Fortune.” She enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with friends and neighbors, always eager to visit. Her family will fondly remember her pie baking skills.

Elda is survived by her children: Margaret (Dennis) Korbel of Goodwin, SD; Bernice (David) Cizadlo of Milbank, SD; Vernon Angerhofer of Milbank, SD; Irma (Arvid) Hofhenke of Milbank, SD; and Ann Will of Milbank, SD; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, in 1958; her parents; sister, Edna; brother, Earl; and grandson, Brian.
