All students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade took part in the annual Koch School Christmas sing-a-long Monday, December 21. Music teacher Dave Boerger directed the event for the 25th year.

Starting off the program was the kindergarten and first grade students. Each grade level presented a poem and musical selections. The kindergarten students sang Jingle Bells while the first graders joined together in voice for Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Suzy Snowflake, Winter Wonderland and Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.

Other songs featured for the lower level presentation included Rudolph, Away in a Manger, Jolly Old St. Nick, Up on a Housetop and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

The second production of the day was by the second through fifth grade students. The second graders sang There Was a Little Baby and Away in a Manger along with a poem. Third grade students were adorned with reindeer antlers, paws and tails as they presented the Reindeer Boogie, Reindeer Pokey and a poem. Fourth graders sang Silent Night and Go Tell it on the Mountain along with their class poem.

The fifth grade students led all the students with musical instruments and solo accompaniments throughout the program. The class also sang Jingle Bell Jukebox and Jingle Bell Rock after reciting a memorized poem.

The program concluded with the audience singing along with the students in Silver Bells, Nuttin’ for Christmas, Rusty Chevrolet and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
