The Valley Express is announcing breaking news related to changes with the traditional Farley Fest weekend. Connie Larson and the Milbank Chamber Board have designed a fun filled upcoming summer for people of all ages. In years past, Farley Fest has had events packed into one weekend. This year, the board has decided to stretch the weekend out over the entire summer. Events will begin in June and will conclude in August.

While planning is in the early stages and details will be forthcoming, Chamber members want people to know that there will be events and activities planned in Farley Park each month this summer. Beginning on a Saturday in June, the park will feature its annual Q-Fest. This year, the board is adding family activities that focus on the the lake.

The board is also planning on continuing the regular country music concert, slated for mid-July.  In addition to featuring a rising country star, the event will offer concert-goers multiple food vendors and the beer garden. The fireworks display will take place on a weekend of its own and will not be combined with any other major events.

The rock concert will now join the Farley Fest agenda. In years past, the rock concert would take place two months following Farley Fest. The burnout competition will be featured alongside the rock concert this year.

Stay tuned to The Valley Express for the latest news on Farley Fest.
