New Doctor To Serve Milbank Area

Avera Medical Group Milbank announced                               Thomas Lechner, MD, will join the clinic effective Feb. 29.

As a family practitioner, Lechner will provide medical care for patients of all ages, from birth through end of life. He will offer care for acute injury and illness as well as chronic conditions, wellness exams, and women’s health care.

Lechner holds a medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, and completed residency in family practice and community medicine at the University of Minnesota. He has 25 years experience in family medicine, and most recently practiced with Prairie Lakes Healthcare.

“I have practiced medicine in several settings, and enjoy practicing in a community where you get to know patients and their families and form long-lasting relationships. I look forward to serving local and area residents with their health care needs,” Lechner said.

Lechner and his wife, Chala, have four children. In his free time, he enjoys golf, woodworking, cooking, gardening, and biking.
