Nine shooters will advance to the Knights of Columbus state free throw contest after winning the top spot at the local competition Sunday, January 17, at the St. Lawrence School gym.
The district event is slated for Sunday, February 7, at the new middle school in Watertown.
Winners in three girls divisions were Rylee Scoular, 9 years old; Ivy Lewno, 10 years old, and Lindsey Mertens, 13 years old. Winning the boys divisions were Garrett Mertens, nine years old; Nathan Lease, 10 years old; Sawyer Gauer, 11 years old; Tanner Mertens, 12 years old; Jared Johnson, 13 years old, and Max McCulloch, 14 years old.
