“The event even spilled over into Sunday with awards ending at 12:20 a.m.,” explained head coach Natasha Hartman. “This tournament runs until they narrow the competitors down by eliminating those who have two downs, a loss or ranking in the bottom half of the speaking event to determine the qualifiers.”

Rebekah Tuchscherer led the team with a stellar Lincoln-Douglas debate. She qualified for the National Speech and Debate Tournament which is slated for June 12-17 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Connor Lightfield advanced to round five of Domestic Extemp, just one round short from the finals. He also advanced to the third round of Lincoln-Douglas along with Claire Mischel.

Macie Redmond and Sophia Seffrood advanced to the fourth round of Public Forum. Nathan Loutsch and Caitlin Kroemer also competed in that event.
