The annual fundraiser involved more than 80 schools in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota and raised over $1 million this year. Every dollar collected by St. Lawrence will stay here in Milbank thanks to the sponsor Catholic United Financial.

_DSC0006 (3)Catholic United Financial also rewarded the hard work of student ticket sellers. The top-selling student at St. Lawrence was fourth-grader Jayden Johnson. He is the son of Sara Johnson and Jack Johnson. He raised $1,800 and was presented with a Kindle Fire tablet.

The fourth grade class, with teacher Sara Johnson, was the top selling class at St. Lawrence and raised $4,215. The class will celebrate with a pizza party.

Prizes valued at over $40,000 were also given to regional participants. St. Lawrence had two locals winners. Terri Holtquist won an iPad Pro and Deanne Dockter won a $100 Visa gift card.

“The kids did a fantastic job in raising the funds,” said St. Lawrence principal Brenda Anderson. “We are so thankful for those of you who supported us. A special thank you to Catholic United Financial for making the Catholic Schools raffle possible. Their commitment to education is truly remarkable.”
