_DSC0057 (2)St. Lawrence School students, staff, parents, and members of the community gathered outside the school this morning to pray a special Rosary to celebrate the birthday of former St. Lawrence teacher, Louisa Wiessenfluh. Mrs. Wiessenfluh retired in May 2015. As the Rosary was recited, students released teal and white balloons with love and support for Louisa, who is battling cancer. Students and staff members also sported teal t-shirts emblazoned with “I Wear Teal for My Hero, Louisa.”

St. Lawrence School Principal, Brenda Anderson, remarked on the many God moments experienced in preparation for the occasion. “God blessed us with a beautiful day to celebrate Mrs. Weissenfluh’s birthday – the weather was perfect. The color and number of balloons on hand at The Flower Shoppe were exactly what we needed and we received donations for all of the balloons. The children were so prayerful. Most importantly, Mrs. Weissenfluh and her husband, Jim, were able to pray with us! Thank you to all.”
