Larry GribbleLarry Gribble, age 76, of Stockholm, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at the Milbank Area Hospital-Avera Health.

Services will be held at the Stockholm Community Center on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Elmer Brinkman will be officiating the service. Burial will take place following the funeral service at Evergreen Cemetery in rural Stockholm.

Casket bearers will be Tim Nowick, Mike Nowick, Wayne Nowick, Jim Gribble, Warren Berg, Brad Dorman, and Dale Dorman.

Larry William Gribble was born on October 29, 1939, in Watertown, SD, to Wilfred and Florence (Dorman) Gribble. In 1954, Larry moved with his family to San Antonio, TX, where they lived for two years. They eventually settled in Burien, WA, where he worked for Southgate Ford for many years. Larry and his family then moved to Federal Way, WA, spending many years there before moving to Auburn, WA, where he worked as a truck driver. In 2009, Larry moved back to Stockholm, SD.

Larry enjoyed working as a caretaker of the Stockholm Museum and mowing lawn everywhere he could. When not working, Larry enjoyed antique tractors, especially John Deere and Allis Chalmers. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR on Sundays, living an easy going life style, and the peace and quiet in Stockholm.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Bill (Caitlin) Gribble of Normandy Park, WA; Jim Gribble of Yakima, WA; Lori Decker of Aberdeen, WA; Nancy (Jesse) Huntsman of Seatac, WA; two siblings: Lois (Gary) Hulsey of Pacific, WA; Gary (Evelyn) Gribble of Graham, WA; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Florence Gribble, and one nephew.
