walleye_classic_donationThe organizers of the Big Stone Walleye Classic (BSWC) made two donations to charities from the proceeds of this year’s fishing tournament. A $250 donation was given to the 2016 Camp Daniel and another $250 donation was made to Together 2016.

A group from Calvary Church in Milbank will attend the bible camp, 2016 Camp Daniel, at Pickerel Lake in Waubay July 18-21. “We have had the pleasure of having this group run our concession stand the past three years,” said BSWC President Nicolle Berkner. “The money they made during the Classic, along with our $250 donation, will help them attend this camp.”

The second donation was given to Together 2016 in Washington D.C., and World Vision. “With our donation, we can help local teens pack kits for Syrian refugees,” stated Berkner. “They assemble Promise Packs filled with school supplies, personal care items, a blanket, and a handwritten note from the teens.”
