Jason Ackerman of Milbank and his partner, Chad Pew of Sioux Falls, and Dan Sorenson of Milbank and his partner, Doc Kamerud of Aberdeen, were the top winners in the Calcutta tournament held July 9-10, at Pine Hills Golf Course in Milbank. Thirty two teams competed in the annual event.
After Saturday’s play, the field was divided into two groups. In group A, Jason Ackerman and Pew captured first place with 80 points. Second place went to Justin Ackerman of Milbank and Brandon Berens of Madison with 78 points. Paul Peschong of Milbank and Dean Hartman, who is in the U.S. from Malaysia, earned third place with 76 points.
Sorenson and Kamerud took first in Group B with 71 points. Bob Berens of Milbank and Tim Jones of Dallas earned second place with 70 points. Third place went to Randy Patnoe of Milbank and his son, Ryan Patnoe of Aberdeen, with 69 points.
