Bulldogs Compete Well at New Event

The Bulldog boys and girls cross country teams finished near the top of the pack during the Lac Qui Parle Valley-Dawson-Boyd Invitational meet Tuesday, September 21. The event was a new addition to the Bulldog’s schedule this season. Battling tough competition from southwest Minnesota, the girls team finished fourth in the team standings and the boys team took sixth. The host team of LQPV-Dawson-Boyd won both divisions.

Taylor Thue led Milbank Area with a 9th place finish in the girls varsity 5K race. Danica Schulte finished 11th overall and Amaya Street was 16th. In the boys division, Nick Batchelor had a 12th place finish, Tanner Bock was 20th, and Zippy Bock was 28th.

The Bulldog varsity runners will compete in the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota’s in St. Paul, Minnesota, Saturday, September 24.
