The 20th annual Milbank Bulldog volleyball camp dates have been set and registrations are due for the upcoming summer camp under the direction of Coach Nancy Hoeke.
The varsity/junior varsity camp for athletes in grades 10-12 will take place July 12-13 at the Milbank Armory. The camp will run 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday.. The cost is $60 which includes a camp t-shirt.
“This year’s camp will be led by Kelsey Titus, assistant coach at the University of Jamestown,” noted Coach Hoeke. “Kelsey was a stand out player at Northern State University.” The purpose of the camp is to teach upper-level skills in order to execute good offense and defense by position.
Registrations are due to Coach Hoeke by Tuesday, May 23. Checks can be made payable to the Milbank Volleyball Team.
Additional camps for younger athletes will take place June 21-23 at the high school and Koch School.
A camp for C team and middle school players in grades eight and nine (and invited 7th graders) is scheduled for Wednesday through Friday, June 21-23, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the high school. The cost is $45.
Girls in grades 4-6 who are just beginning the sport will attend June 21-22 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Koch School. The fee is $25.
Girls in grades 5-7 who have attended camp at least twice in the past and have basic to advanced skills are asked to attend June 21-22 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the high school. The cost is also $25.
All grades apply to grade as of next school year. A family rate has been put in place. Families with three or more participants will not pay more than $100.
