Four Milbank swimmers attended the Splash Central Invitational swim meet in Huron Friday through Sunday, July 14-16, and turned in stellar performances.

Aubrey Fraasch and Elijah Fraasch each added events to their State A qualifying events and placed in the top six for the high point meet. Aubrey finished fourth in the 9-10 girls age group. She also broke a MALST team record in the 100 breaststroke which was previously held by Rylie Overby in 2016. Elijah took sixth place overall in the boys 15-16 age group.

Beth Goodhart and Hallie Schulte also completed in the meet and posted some of their best times of the season, according to MALST head coach Jodi Street. Goodhart dropped 30.14 seconds in her 100 butterfly time and swam a personal best. Schulte posted her fastest times in a long course pool in the 50 breaststroke and 100 butterfly.

Elijah Fraasch was named the swimmer of the meet. “Elijah had set personal goals for multiple state qualifying events,” said Coach Jodi. “It’s great that he could achieve that and high point after swimming two of the three days.”
