Loretta Marjory Orman, age 93, of Milbank died July 25, 2017, at St. Williams Nursing Home in Milbank.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Tabor Lutheran Church in Strandburg. Rev. Elmer Brinkman will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Loretta Marjory Orman was born on November 27, 1923, in Milbank, SD. She was the daughter of Julius and Agnes (Holsten) Johnson. Loretta graduated from Standburg High School in 1941, and continued her education in Minneapolis studying electronics.

Loretta was united in marriage with Edmund James Orman on June 1, 1943. Together they were blessed with 20 years of marriage and four daughters: Jane, Betty, Lois and Carol.

Loretta worked for many years. She began her career in Minneapolis, working first at Audio Development and later at Control Data. Loretta continued her career at Honeywell, where she worked as an electronic technician for over 25 years.

She was a faithful member of Tabor Lutheran Church in Strandburg, and had also been a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Loretta enjoyed quilting, playing scrabble, rosemaling, and making ceramics. She also enjoyed traveling all over the United States to visit family. She even traveled abroad to England and South America.

Loretta is survived by her daughters: Jane (Alexander) Thompson of Inver Grove Heights, MN; Betty (Thomas) Seaton of Scandia, MN; is (Michael) Pierson of Carlsbad, CA; and Carol (Todd) Emberley of Parker, CO; 10 grandchildren: Brian Seaton, Matthew Seaton, Alexander Thompson, Julie Brennan, Christopher Thompson, Robert Pierson, Daniel Wood, Carrie Pierson, Laura Hoffmann, and Bradford Emberley; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Wilbur Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Julius and Agnes; husband, Edmund; and siblings: Glenn, Lillie, Leslie, Eudora, June, Teddy, Harvey and Geraldine “Deanie”.
