Thrivent Financial Team Tops Chamber Golf Tourney

The four-man team from Thrivent Financial of Milbank took first place in the 12th Annual Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament August 30, at Pine Hills Golf Course. The winning team shot a 59 in the 18-hole scramble. Team members were Lance Hamman, Kiel Zinter, Joel Foster, and Boyd VanVooren. They were rewarded with $300 in Ol’ Mill Bucks.

Berens Warehouse Groceries took second place with a 61. Team members were Bob Berens, Michelle Berens, Brandon Berens, and Don Rieger. They won $200 in Ol’ Mill Bucks.

In third place, was First Bank and Trust. Team members included Steve Wenzl, Travis Lester, Pat Blauert, and Taylor Rymerson. They shot a 63 to earn $100 in Ol’ Mill Bucks.

“We had beautiful weather and everyone seemed to have a blast,” said Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce Events Director Laura Kelly. “We had 10 teams play, which was more than originally signed up before we had to reschedule the event. So, the day was even better.”
Participants enjoyed a meal. Hole and door prizes were also awarded.
