Lake Farley Park will rock ‘n’ roll Saturday night, September 9. The 4th Annual Farley Rock Concert features the Ron Keel Band -formerly known as the Badlands House Band-as the headliner. The FM All-Stars open the concert at 8 p.m. “We are expecting 400 to 500 people,” says Milbank Chamber Events Director Laura Kelly.

The concert is the final show in the Lake Farley Summer Event Series, sponsored by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce. It also includes the annual burnout competition. The burnout competition begins at 6 p.m. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. No advance registration is required. Cash prizes will be awarded in the one-wheel division and the posi class.

Gates for the concert open at 7:30 p.m. A beer garden will also be open for all concert-goers. Beer, pop, and water will be served. Guadalupe’s will sell Mexican specialties.

The burnout takes place near the spillway at the north side of the park. The concert takes place at the same location as the country concert staged in July – near the beach area at the west end of the park. Attendees are reminded to bring chairs or blankets for seating.
