MHS Class of 1967 Holds 50th Reunion

The Milbank High School Class of 1967 celebrated their 50th class reunion September 29-30 in conjunction with MHS Homecoming activities. Forty-three classmates reunited to create an entry in the Homecoming parade. The group also gathered at the Grant County Veteran’s Memorial and Jeanne Lieffort Wobbema led a service honoring and remembering classmates. Later, they attended the MHS tailgate meal and were presented complimentary passes to the MHS football game against Groton Area. A fifth quarter social followed at the School House Suites.

Activities continued Saturday. A gathering was held at Pribyl Park. DeFea Transportation provided a bus tour of Milbank with stops at the new Avera Milbank Area Hospital and the Milbank Windmill. A 60s concert with entertainment by Something New, a 2012 South Dakota Hall of Fame rock band, was held at the school. The reunion concluded with a social, photo session, banquet, and program at the Lantern Inn Saturday evening.
