Tryouts Set for Elite Alliance Volleyball Club

The tryout date has been set for the Elite Alliance Volleyball Club (EAVC) of Watertown. Tryouts for age groups 12U to 18U take place on Saturday, December 2, at the Watertown Auditorium. The 12U and 14U age groups begin their tryout session at 9 a.m. The older group – 16U and 18U starts at 1 p.m.

The cut-off date for determining age groups includes:
18 and under division – players who were born on or after September 1, 1999, or players who were born on or after September 1, 1998, and are a high school student in the 12th grade during some part of the 2017-2018 school year
16 and under division – players who were born on or after September 1, 2001
14 and under division – players who were born on or after September 1, 2003
12 and under division – players who were born on or after September 1, 2005

Pre-registration for tryouts is required. Visit the Elite Alliance website at https://sites.google.com/site/elitealliancevolleyballclub/, fill out the appropriate tryout registration form and email it to elitealliancevolleyball@gmail.com. A $25 tryout fee is required at the time of the tryouts. If selected to a team, that fee will be applied to your team fees.

Elite Alliance is in its second year as a Junior Olympic volleyball club. It is a non-profit organization comprised of coaches and athletes from the Watertown area. The program gives players an opportunity to play and be coached for approximately eight weeks. Nancy Hoeke, head coach of the Lady Bulldogs, is a member of the EAVC Board of Directors.
The EAVC season begins mid-February and runs through the beginning of May, depending on the age level. Teams typically practice two days per week and compete in 3-5 tournaments throughout the season.
