Each year, the Grant County Courthouse staff welcomes businesses and non-profit organizations to fill the foyers with decorated Christmas trees. This year marks the 26th anniversary of the event.

“The purpose of the Festival of Trees is for community organizations to showcase the opportunities they provide and/or collect items for local charities,” stated Sara Koepke, Grant County 4-H Youth Program Advisor and Festival of Trees coordinator.

The trees must be placed between Monday, November 20, through Thursday, November 30, during regular courthouse hours. The trees need to be removed by Friday, January 5.

Participating trees must be artificial without lights and decorated in a theme of the organization’s choice. A sign with the organization’s name and theme must accompany the tree.

New this year, judging will be completed by the public. The top three voted trees will receive prizes. Voting will begin December 1 and end January 2. Voting slips will be available on first floor of the courthouse.
