Grapplers Take Seventh at Dual Tournament

The Milbank Bulldog wrestling team took seventh place in the dual tournament in Watertown on December 2. The Dawgs went 1-3. They started with a 63-9 loss to Harrisburg, followed by a 66-15 defeat by Watertown. Milbank then faced Pierre and dropped 66-9. In the seventh place match, Milbank defeated Yankton 48-36.

“The guys competed hard, but we have a lot of work to do,” stated Bulldog Head Wrestling Coach Jeremy Tostenson. “We need to keep improving every day.”

Eli Fischer led the team with a 4-0 record. Tanner Kettwig followed at 3-1. Alec Bien and Isaac Fischer were 2-2 for the day. JD Lusk, Breyden Miller, and Toby Schneck finished at 1-3, and Brodie Holtquist was 0-4. Brady Femling and Kaden Krause also secured one win each in varsity competition for a 1-0 record.

In the junior varsity division, Barrett Schneck and Kaden Krause earned first place finishes. Michael Karges and Brady Femling earned second place finishes. Elijah Fraasch and Trystan Fischer each finished third. Nick Trevett and Riley Przybycien secured fourth place finishes.
