Milbank High School sophomore, Eli Fischer, captured the championship title at the Rapid City Invitational wrestling tournament this past weekend, Friday and Saturday, December 8-9, at the 106 pound weight class. He was the lone Bulldog to place in the tournament.

“We competed hard and battled tough competition,” stated Bulldog head wrestling coach Jeremy Tostenson.
Brady Femling, Kaden Krause, JD Lusk, Toby Schneck, Alec Bien, Brodie Holtquist, Isaac Fischer and Tanner Kettwig fought hard and came back in the second chance tournament, but did not secure a placing finish. Also competing for Milbank was Breyden Miller who was eliminated the first day.

Milbank finished 23rd in the team standings with 55 points. Pierre T.F. Riggs won the tournament with 214 points. Rapid City Stevens was second with 211 and Rapid City Central, third, with 169.5.

Milbank will travel to Madison Saturday, December 16, for an individual tournament beginning at 10 a.m.
