Gerald Clark, age 67 of Appleton, MN died December 17, 2017, at his residence.
A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held on Thursday, December 28, at Shooter’s in Appleton, from noon to 3 p.m. Please feel free to bring a dish to share.
Gerald Lee Clark was born on February 18, 1950, in Benson, MN. He was the son of Rolly James Clark and Christine (Kurkosky) Clark.
Gerald was united in marriage with Joan Carolyn Haugerud on August 5, 1976, in Watertown. Gerald worked for John Deere Implement Company for 24 years. He also worked for various farmers as a mechanic. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Appleton, MN. Gerald enjoyed tinkering in his garage and in his yard. He enjoyed woodworking and made several wooden cradles. Family get-togethers were always enjoyed as Gerald loved his family and loved spending time with them. Family and friends affectionately knew Gerald as “Pa”. He like to hunt and fish.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan of Appleton, MN; children: Ronda Deitz of Bismarck, ND; Benjamin (Deidre) Jenkins of Orofino, ID; Ira (Tricia) Jenkins of Appleton, MN; 15 grandchildren, including Darian Clark of Appleton, who was raised by Pa and Joan; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dennis Clark of Montevideo, MN, Gary (Kathy) Clark of Kerkhoven, MN; Betty (Clarence) Swenson of Glenwood, MN; and David (Cindy) Clark of Loring, MT; sisters-in-law: Shirley Clark of Kandiyohi, MN, and Karen Clark of Clara City, MN.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; a son: James Clark; daughter, Martha Clark Schoenwetter; brothers: Walter Clark, and Richard Clark.
