Chelcie Eischens has been membership and finance director for the Milbank Area Chamber since July 2016. She plans to step down from that position this June.

Chelcie says, “When I started, I didn’t know anyone, now I know so many people on different levels – from business associates to friends. Getting to know the community was my favorite part of working at the Chamber.” She cites the increase in membership from about 150 to 180, as her most important accomplishment. Chelcie added, “I also saw home-based businesses really take off. They are very important to our community and the Chamber.”

Although Eischens will no longer be employed by the Chamber, she says she still believes in the organization and their mission. She and her husband, Wade, also plan to remain in Milbank. Wade is employed as an agronomist at West-Conn near Twin Brooks and the couple has one daughter, Braelynn, age two. The family is expecting a baby in June.

Chelcie will continue working at the Chamber to train the new co-director, but then envisions days of going to the park, reading books, and taking photos of both children. She says she is looking forward to her new job as a stay-at-home mom almost as much as Braelynn is looking forward to being a big sister.
