Urban T. Stolpman, 97, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 29, 2017 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on Oct. 10, 1920 in Rosen, MN to the late Theresa (Voight) and John Stolpman.

He attended and received a degree from St. John’s University (1938-1942) and then joined the US Navy. Urban was stationed in Memphis, San Diego and the Great Lakes.

Urban married the love of his life, Lucille Loehrer on July 14th, 1948 in Rosen, MN. They lived most of their married life in Ortonville, MN and moved to Kerrville, Texas in 2014. They owned and operated the Drive-In Movie Theater from 1950-1955 in Big Stone City, SD. Over the years they built and remodeled many homes and apartments in the Ortonville and Milbank area. Along with construction they managed many apartments and took great pride in helping the tenants in any way they could. They were a very unique couple and loved by many. Their sons wanted it to be known how wonderful of parents they were and the best ones any child could ask for.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille (April 2017) and their son, David Stolpman (Dec. 2014).

He is survived by his two sons: Todd Stolpman and wife, Monique of Eagan, MN; and Rick Stolpman of Kerrville, Texas; grandchildren, Drew, Alexa and Jack. He will be loved and missed by many other family members and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Alzheimer Organization (www.alz.org).
