Grant County Christian Service Council Gives Away 5,500 Pounds of Food

Over 200 guests were served at the Feeding South Dakota food giveaway on May 9, according to LeAnn Kuper of the Grant County Christian Service Council. She says, “Sixty-three volunteers helped distribute 5,500 pounds of food. The volunteers included confirmation students from Central United Methodist Church and Calvary Church. The students assisted with the drive-up pickup and carried groceries to cars. They were a great help with this.” Kuper added, “It is great to see so many of all ages come out to assist their friends and neighbors.”

The free food is distributed to any family in need. No qualifying is required. The next giveaway is June 13
