Taco John’s of Milbank, is awarding two $500 scholarships to employees Karissa McFaden and Michelle Johnson. According to owner Brian Fox, this is the third year Taco John’s has given scholarships to employees – usually high school seniors – to further their education.

McFaden has been employed at Taco John’s for two and a half years. She will attend Lake Area Tech in Watertown to major in social services.

Michelle Johnson has worked at Taco John’s as a manager for 12 years, but her dream has always been to be a nurse. She will also attend Lake Area Tech. Johnson says, “I am a CNA and missed helping people in that capacity. It will take me a year and a half to complete the program, so I will continue to work at Taco John’s part time, which is great because I have learned leaderships skills working here to help me in my new career.”

“Both Michelle and Karissa have done a great job for us and we wish them continued success,” stated Fox.
