A vandalism spree of spray painted graffiti over the weekend has victims and law enforcement adding up the damage. Milbank Police Chief Boyd Van Vooren calculates thousands of dollars in repairs are needed and he says, “We take this very seriously. We are proud of our community and won’t let this go without prosecution.” According to Chief VanVooren, damages over $1000 constitute a felony.
Ten businesses, five residences, and public property – including Koch school, railroad, and City of Milbank property- were defaced.
