MHS Tennis Season Begins With Hard Work

All Out! All Match! All Season! Hard work will beat talent, when talent does not work hard is the motto of the 2018 Lady Bulldogs Tennis Team. Coach Jim Dahl is optimistic about the weeks ahead. “I’m very excited about the progress of the players as we move through the season. I am really looking forward to surprising opponents this year and the players’ off-season and current hard work resulting in higher level of play.”

There are no seniors on the tennis roster this year but the up-and-coming younger members will provide plenty of reasons to watch a match or two! “Halli Essington, Hattie Muellenbach, and Rhianna Cantine put in the most off-season time and as a result are most improved. Our best play often comes from them,” Coach Dahl says.

According to Dahl one of the biggest challenges this team faces is only having seven high school players. “We’ll be challenged to stay healthy… We have a few nagging injuries and can’t afford those to worsen.
