Richard Hall, age 72, of Milbank, died on September 28, 2018, at Aberdeen Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Rev. Dr. DeVern Schwenn will officiate and burial, at a later date, will be in the Milbank Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 – 7 p.m. and continue on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.

Honorary bearers will be Richard’s grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Music will be provided by Tim Mundwiler, vocalist and Roger Goosen, pianist.

Richard E. Hall was born on January 10, 1946, in Ortonville, MN. He was the son of Glenn and Pearl (Tillman) Hall. Richard attended school in Big Stone City, SD. He lived on a farm southeast of Milbank for many years. Richard was united in marriage with Linda Lou Weed on December 30, 1976. They moved into Milbank in 2000.

Richard worked a variety of jobs throughout the years. He worked at the Ortonville Elevator, Conrad Car City, and a farm labor. He worked for over 20 years for Milbank House Movers. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved fireworks and always looked forward to July 4th. He was a faithful Chicago Bears fan. Most importantly, Richard loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda of Milbank; sons: Scott Hall of Ortonville, MN; and Todd (Deanna) Hall of Ortonville, MN; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Hall of North Dakota; brothers: Roger Hall of Milbank, SD; and Jerry (Mandi) Hall of Horseheads, NY; brothers-in-law: Bob (Judy) Weed of Piedmont, SD; Loren of Florida; sisters-in-law: Robin (Tom) Stei of Huron, SD; Tracy Weed of St. Paul, MN; Becky (Bruce) Albrecht of Aberdeen, SD; Kim Weed of Sioux Falls, SD; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Karges; and step-son, Dana Weed.
