The annual food drive sponsored by Milbank Boy Scouts Troop 45 and Cub Scouts Pack 38 is October 27. Get your food bags ready. The scouts will do the rest!

This Saturday, October 20, the scouts will hang reminder messages on your doorknob. The following Saturday, October 27, they will come by again to pick up your bag or box. Fill your bag or box and set it outside your door or on your step before 9 a.m. The scouts will collect it and take it to the local food pantry for you.

The food pantry needs canned goods, such as tuna or chicken, fruit, vegetables, soups or chili, spaghetti or ravioli. Also in high demand are peanut butter, cereal, pancake or muffin mixes, crackers, pastas, rice, and any other non-perishable items. (Please check expiration dates. Sorry, no glass items can be accepted.)

Do you have some eyeglasses or a hearing aid you can no longer use? Are they just lying in a drawer? Why not give them to someone who needs them? The Scouts will also collect eyeglasses and hearing aids to donate to the Lions Club.

Want to donate but won’t be home on October 27? Call or text Scoutmaster, Jeff Loutsch at 605.432.7946, Marie at 605.949.0510, or the food pantry at the Milbank Courthouse.
