The 28th Annual South Dakota North Area Honor Band presents their concert on Saturday, December 1, at 7 p.m. at the Johnson Fine Arts Center on the campus of Northern State University in Aberdeen. Mr. Dale Fiedler, retired longtime Redfield band director, will be the guest conductor. Admission prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students in grades 1-12.

Approximately one hundred students have been selected to participate in the Honor Band, representing twenty-six schools. Participating schools are Aberdeen Central, Aberdeen Christian, Aberdeen Roncalli, Castlewood ,Clark, Doland, Eureka, Gettysburg, Great Plains Lutheran,  Groton Area, Henry, Hoven, Howard, Huron, Ipswich, Iroquois, Langford, Leola, Milbank, Northwestern, Redfield, Selby Area, Warner, Webster Area, Wilmot, and Wolsey-Wessington.

Students selected from Milbank High School include: seniors – Kellie Christians (percussion), Keaton Hagen (trumpet), and Kimberly Van Sambeek (alto saxophone); juniors – Noah Mursu (alto saxophone) and Alaina Rausch (clarinet); sophomores – Logan Meyer (trombone), Drake Rogers (tuba), and Amaya Street (trumpet); freshmen – Will Karels (tuba) and Isaac Schulte (trumpet).
