The University of South Dakota School of Medicine presented Dr. Kevin Bjordahl, local physician at Avera Medical Group Milbank, with the Edward Batt, MD, Memorial Award. The award recognizes outstanding faculty who are involved in teaching medical students. The Avera Milbank campus is assigned numerous medical students to their campus every year.
“This award is well deserved. Dr. Bjordahl fosters a strong learning environment when mentoring medical students.” stated Natalie Gauer, administrator for Milbank Area Hospital Avera. The first Edward Batt, MD, Memorial Award was presented in 1979.
