Rose Wiseman

Rose Marie (Krause) Wiseman, age 82, former resident of Revillo, SD, died on May 6, 2019, at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown, SD.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue one hour prior to the funeral service. Pastor Scott Dempster will officiate, and burial will be at Milbank City Cemetery.

Rose Marie (Krause) Wiseman was born on July 1, 1936. She was the daughter of Harley and Esther Krause. Rose grew up near Albee, SD. She attended school in Revillo, SD, and graduated with the Class of 1954. In 1959, Rose married Walter Wiseman in Milbank, SD. They were blessed with two sons: Mark and Todd.

Rose and Walter raised their family in Revillo. Together, they owned and operated “Walt’s Place” from 1956 until 1973. Rose later attended Lake Area Technical Institute to become a home health aide. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and gardening. She was known to be a fantastic baker. She loved children and animals, and she will be remembered by her family as a loving and generous woman.

Rose was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Revillo for many years. She enjoyed attending services at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown in her later years.

Rose is survived by her sons: Mark (Tammy Pauli) Wiseman of LaBolt, SD; and Todd Wiseman of Madison, MN; sisters: Shirley of Arizona; Joyce Kruse of Watertown, SD; and Donna Krause of Hayti, SD; brothers: Jim Krause of Milbank, SD; and Mike Krause of Milbank, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; and brothers: Harlan and DuWayne.
