David Graf Chosen as New Principal of Koch School

David Graf, son of Superintendent Tim and Jean Graf, has been selected as the new principal of Koch Elementary School in Milbank. David has served as the principal of grades seven through twelve and activities director in the Ortonville School District since 2017. His contract with the Milbank district, pending school board approval, begins on July 29.

David graduated from Wilmot High School in 2006. He received his bachelor’s degree in education (special education) in 2010 from Northern State University in Aberdeen. He began his teaching career as a special education instructor in the Clear Lake, Milbank, and Watertown school systems. In 2015, he received his master’s degree in teaching and learning from NSU. In 2018, he also received a master’s degree in educational leadership from Minnesota State University in Moorhead, Minnesota.

David’s wife is the former Kaitlyn Pinkert, a graduate of Milbank High School. Kaitlyn is employed as a dental hygienist at Bjordahl Dental in Milbank. The Grafs have two preschoolers – Brooks and Jade.
