Hispanic Grocery Store Opens Today on Main Street in Milbank

Tliolli, a grocery store specializing in Mexican food, opened today in downtown Milbank at Second Avenue and Main Street. Dionicio Ayohua and his wife own the business. The couple and their daughter have lived in Milbank for six years. In addition to owning the grocery store Dionicio is also employed at Valley Queen Cheese.

Dionicio said his inspiration for starting the store was to offer authentic products that people have had to drive to Sioux Falls to purchase.

“We acquire our products directly from Mexico, and have stocked the shelves with everything from all the ingredients to make authentic Mexican dishes to Mexican chips and sodas and the super-popular Milagros tortillas,” Dionicio stated.

Tliolli is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
