Ardell June Dick, 85, of Morris, MN and former resident of Graceville, passed away July 19, 2019, at Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Graceville, MN. Pastor Eugene Andrus will officiate. Burial will be at the Graceville Consolidated Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church in Graceville.

Ardell J. Mayland was born in Minneapolis, MN, on April 13, 1934, to Edmund and Rhondena (Nelson) Mayland. She graduated from Marshal High School in Minneapolis, class of 1952. Ardell worked at Daytons in Minneapolis, where she met her husband, William “Bill” Henry Roberts. Ardell and Bill were married on July 12, 1952, and resided in Graceville, MN, for 48 years.

Ardell was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Graceville and was active in the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School. She raised her family on a farm outside of Graceville, and worked at different jobs in town. After Bill passed away in 1998, Ardell moved to WI to be near her son, Ken. She met and married James Dick on February 14, 2001. They resided in numerous places in WI and Quartzite, AZ until Jim’s passing in October 2013. Ardell remained in WI until moving to Skyview Court Senior Living Community in Morris due to health reasons.

Ardell enjoyed travelling, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Ardell will be dearly missed and will live on in the memories of those who loved her. She is survived by her children: Kenneth (Harriet) Roberts of New London, WI; Carol (Eric) Curry of Camas, WA; Sharon (John) Bilben of Graceville, MN; Jerry (Sue) Roberts of Stewartville, MN; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren; and Jim’s family.

Ardell was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: William and Jim; sisters: Ellen and Marion; brothers: Robert, William and Howard; and a grandson.
