Milbank Boy Scout Troop 45 completed their annual Potato Project on Monday, November 4. The troop harvested and delivered nearly 3,000 pounds of potatoes for use in the community.

The potatoes are donated by Warren and Eloise Falk and grown on the Falk farm. The scouts also bag the potatoes into five and 10-pound bags to distribute to the Grant County food Pantry to include in their holiday boxes. Troop 45’s charter church, American Lutheran, uses the potatoes for lefse and their Klub Feed.

Scoutmaster Jeff Loutsch says, “These young men are hard workers and never seem to tire of doing things for their community. Al Mathieson also joined our troop this year to help with the potato project.”
Troop 45 is supported in part by Grant County Combined Appeal.
