The St. Lawrence School Student Council made sure two local families have Thanksgiving dinner for their table this year. The council, which includes kindergarten through sixth grade students, used money they earned in their store to purchase the groceries. The students also wrote a shopping list, purchased the food, and delivered it to ICAP at the courthouse.

Susie Wendland, adviser for the student council says, “I absolutely love doing this with our student council. From planning the kind of food they want to give the families to raising the money at our store…. and especially seeing their faces when we go grocery shopping and deliver to the courthouse.” The student council’s Thanksgiving meal project has been a tradition at St. Lawrence since 2016.
