The Angel Tree is winging its way to 112 children and 41 families this year. The Angel Tree is sponsored by the Grant County Christian Service Council.
The families picked up their gifts on Monday, December 16 at the Milbank Visitor Center, and they also received Hot Stuff gift certificates from the Christian Service Council. Craig and Sarah Weinberg of VPD Studio in Milbank photographed the children with Santa and Mrs. Claus and provided a free print.
Big Stone Therapies donated grocery gift certificates for each family, and the families also received a package containing paper goods; dental care items; and laundry, dish, and hand soap.
The Northern Lights 4-H group assisted the GCCSC in transporting the gifts. The wrapped holiday presents were donated by community members and returned to First Bank and Trust, Wells Fargo, and Great Western Bank.
